Return after 556 days! "World of Warcraft" producer: very touched Chinese players to give a second chance
Today, Blizzard's iconic game "World of Warcraft" officially reopened after 556 days of waiting.
Shortly before the official return, senior director Ion Hazzikostas and executive producer Holly Longdale said in an interview: "We are very touched that they [Chinese players] are willing to trust us to give us a second chance to return to the Chinese market."
When answering the question "What does Chinese gamers mean for World of Warcraft? Will there be exclusive content for Chinese gamers in nostalgic and official servers in the future?"
They said that some of the rewards after the China region is back online are definitely exclusive to Chinese players. After re-cooperating with NetEase, they will further explore and better understand how to serve players around the world, including in China.
When recalling the suspension of World of Warcraft's national service, she said that it was a very sad moment for the Blizzard team, and the team was also deeply moved by the sad reaction from the Chinese player community.
They also recalled that when the nostalgic server was launched six years ago, the influx of Chinese players caused servers to be congested and even down, claiming that the Chinese player base may be the most enthusiastic player base in the world.
